Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using myATAR (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

myATAR is intended for Australian secondary school students, particularly those studying ATAR courses.

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform.
  • If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription & Payments

myATAR offers free and paid subscription plans.

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance.
  • Prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time via your account settings.
  • Refunds are not guaranteed except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

5. Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account login with others.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the Platform.
  • Use the AI tools to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
  • Upload viruses or malicious code.

7. Educational Disclaimer

myATAR provides study tools, AI-generated explanations, and analytics. We do not guarantee specific ATAR scores, exam results, or academic outcomes. All predictions are estimates only.

8. AI-Generated Content

Some explanations, quizzes, and recommendations are generated using artificial intelligence.

  • AI outputs may contain inaccuracies.
  • You should verify important academic information independently.
  • We are not responsible for errors in AI-generated content.

9. Data & Privacy

We collect account information and study data to provide dashboards, analytics, streak tracking, predictions, and personalised content.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, and software on myATAR is owned by us or licensed to us.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Platform materials.
  • You retain ownership of content you upload.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of academic results.
  • Data loss beyond reasonable control.
  • Indirect or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updates.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
